Prospective ENL Teacher Applicants
I am thinking about applying, what should I keep in mind?
* You need to be present at the University of Notre Dame in the middle of July. This year’s summer classes begin Thursday, July 8, 2010 and end Friday, July 23, 2010.
* The ENL Program consists of 6 classes for a total of 18 credit hours. The first two classes are taken during the two weeks at Notre Dame and the following 4 classes are taken online during the fall and spring semesters.
* Participants stay in the student dormitories for the two weeks at Notre Dame.
* Upon completion of the ENL program, participants may receive an English as a New Language License from the State of Indiana. Indiana has reciprocity with most other states’ ENL, ESL or ELL endorsements.
