Teaching and Licensure

When I’m finished with ACE will I be licensed to teach anywhere?

Having completed the Master of Education degree at Notre Dame, you will be eligible to become a certified teacher in the State of Indiana, at the elementary, middle school, or high school levels, and with content specializations where appropriate. Indiana is a member of the Interstate Teaching Compact, an alliance of more than 40 state departments of education, which allows reciprocity for teacher licensure. This means that ACE graduates certified in Indiana may be conditionally permitted to teach in more than 40 other states.
