What is unique about your community?
We take advantage of the company of one another and the larger community we live in. It isn’t unusual for all seven of us to travel across the border for a real Mexican meal on a Friday night. Equally so, it isn’t unusual for us to gather weekly for prayer. And most importantly we spend a lot of time laughing. We are there for each other in almost every way possible.

Provide a brief description of Brownsville:
Brownsville is a border town that is just starting to boom. While isolated from the rest of Texas (San Antonio is 4 hours away), there is much you can do right here in the Valley. In Brownsville you have almost all the major stores that you would find in any large town. Then there is Mexico, with its shopping, food, and unique culture. There is South Padre Island, which is crazy for the month of March, and then a beautiful, relaxing spot the rest of the year. The weather is sunny, and warm (and hot) for the majority of the year.
What do you like most about Brownsville?
The multicultural, multinational, and bilingual life of the Valley is incredibly different from any where else in the United States. It is a blessing to live in a place with such a beautiful location, rich culture, and friendly people.
