OKC House
What is unique about your community?
We laugh more than most people breathe; windows break due to high pitches. We have done a ton of work to take care of our house- painting, redecorating, and cleaning out for some awesome garage sales. We have a very unique house with a lot of history, located within view of the capitol building. The house is centrally located, only miles away from the revitalized Bricktown, downtown district. OklahomACE City hosts the annual Cowboys and Indians party, the best party in ACE. We have made friends with our neighbors and exchange bottles of home-brewed beer. We have problems turning off the oven, but never forget to take the lint out of the dryer. Whether running, cooking, knitting, massaging, praying, doing science experiments, or rocking out with our textbooks out, we all support and love one another.

Provide a brief description of OKC:
We are a stone’s throw from the capitol building and down the street from the OU medical campus. OKC downtown is a fun, exciting, revitalized hub of restaurants and bars with a beautiful AAA ballpark, home of the Red Hawks and a river walk. OU’s campus in Norman 30 minutes south, OSU’s campus in Stillwater is an hour north. OKC boasts the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and the World of Wings Pigeon Center. The Oklahoma City memorial is a moving and powerful remembrance of the 1995 bombing, located two miles from the ACE house.
What do you like most about OKC?
Oklahomans are friendly, down to earth, football-loving people. Go Sooners and Cowboys! The cost of living and traffic are both low. There is a lot of fun and cheap stuff to do: bars, clubs (City Walk!), malls, and restaurants. OKC is within driving distance of many other ACE communities, such as KC, Tulsa, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Austin.
