Catholic School Advantage Presenter Seminar

LTF Happy girlThe University of Notre Dame is leading the effort to enroll 1,000,000 Latino children in Catholic schools by 2020. Interest in this campaign has been overwhelming. Requests for training and coaching from dioceses and schools have poured in from across the country. To meet these needs, ACE has created a two-day training seminar for a limited number of people seeking to advance this campaign and willing to present training sessions in their communities.

Led by Fr. Joe Corpora, CSC, a successful pastor in parishes with schools for many years, this intensive program will prepare participants to give presentations on Latino culture, recruiting and enrolling Latino students, and development in Latino communities.

Participants will:

  • Increase their understanding of strategies for making Catholic schools welcoming to Latino children and families
  • Gain the ability to make presentations to school and diocesan groups on the imperative of Catholic schools serving the Latino community
  • Be deployed to meet requests for presentations in their area.  Presenters will receive a stipend and have their expenses covered.

Who should apply?

  • Catholic school leaders and supporters committed to increasing access to Catholic schools for Latino children and families
  • ACE Advocates members
  • Graduates of ACE Programs
