The Play Like a Champion Today™ Educational Series is a child-centered, pastoral approach to youth and high school sports. Designed to help programs reflect Gospel values and promote the moral and character development of young athletes, PLC offers numerous educational initiatives, including "Sports as Ministry" for Catholic youth sports programs, "Parent Like a Champion Today™" for parents whose children participate in the SaM initiative, a corresponding “Coaching for Character” program for public sports organizations, and "Play Like a Champion Today™" for high schools.
The PLC series has been crafted over a period of years by leaders in education, psychology, and coaching. Its approach is to "train the trainer" through an annual Leadership Conference, which prepares leaders to conduct PLC workshops in regions across the U.S. throughout the year.
If you are interested in bringing PLC to your school or organization or if you would like more information, go to www.playlikeachampion.org.
