In 2011, 75 principals traveled to Notre Dame to strengthen their academic leadership. Through engaging discussions with expert faculty and practitioners, principals developed leadership plans with facilitators to improve 21st century teaching and learning in their schools. During the Academy participants built community with fellow principals, and left with not only the skills to lead effectively, but the support to do so. Following the Academy, principals have received professional support in order to successfully implement their leadership plans.
