Principals Academy Program Details

ACE Principals Academy Overview

The ACE Principals Academy will strengthen your school leadership. You will engage in discussions with expert faculty and practitioners and develop an action plan with facilitators to build a culture of continuous improvement in your school. Also, during the Academy you will build community with fellow principals, so you have not only the skills to lead effectively, but the support to do so.

ACE Principals Academy participants will:
  • Engage in interactive discussions and workshops throughout the Academy.
  • Evaluate the state of his/her current school culture and identify areas of strength and opportunities for growth.
  • Explain the relationship between an intentional, purposeful, and thoughtfully-designed school culture and student achievement gains.
  • Develop a vision for his/her school culture by articulating the shared purpose, root beliefs, and core values upon which the school culture will be built.  
  • Construct a long-term action plan that leads faculty and staff in a school culture building process over the coming months/years.

Professional Development Credit

All participants who complete the Principals Academy will receive a certificate from the University of Notre Dame awarding Professional Development Points equal to the total program hours of the Principals Academy.

Cost and Title II.A. Funding

The cost is $695, which includes tuition, instructional materials, and most meals. The cost does not include accommodations or any other travel expenses.

The Principals Academy meets the funding requirements of Title II. A. We strongly encourage you to check with your public school district's federal grant liaison staff person regarding accessing this funding source for the program. Title II. A. may cover tuition, materials, meals, accommodations and other travel-related expenses.

Cancellation
