Open to ACE participants, two to three awards are given annually to ACE schools for specific projects proposed in an open competition judged by a committee of Chris’ friends and family in conjunction with the ACE staff. Award amounts range from $500 to $2000.

Annual distributions of up to $15,000 are available to second-year ACE teachers in under-resourced schools. These distributions will be used to enhance the learning environment of the school rather than just the classroom of the ACE teacher. Grants for up to $2000 may be submitted.

For first-year ACE teachers in schools that lack basic educational materials, ACE budgets $2500 annually for the purpose of supplying ACE classrooms with essential supplies with a limit of $50/teacher.

ACE teachers and alumni who are currently classroom teachers or graduate students and who wish to present at state, regional or national education conferences may apply for grants not exceeding $600. 

Upon the approval of the principal and the faculty of supervision, ACE will support the release-time expense for substitute teachers up to two days each year for ACE teachers to observe the classroom of an experienced and highly effective colleague.

ACE will reimburse any ACE teacher the additional costs incurred in meeting the requirements for a license necessary to fulfill ACE teaching responsibilities, not covered by the host dioceses.
