Program Expectations

Do I qualify for the ENL Program?

• Participants must be present at Notre Dame for the two-week summer session in July.  In 2011, the session runs from Thursday, July 7 to Friday, July 22.  
• Participants must participate in two online classes in both the fall and spring semesters after their two-week summer experience at the University of Notre Dame.
• Participants must be teaching in a Catholic School.
• Participants must have permission from their administration to participate in the ENL program, as their classroom will be affected by the practicum experience.
• Participants must hold a bachelor’s degree. In order to add an ENL/ESL endorsement to a teaching license, a teacher must hold a current teaching license from any state.
