The Aurora Project - Science Teacher - South Bend, IN

Sprout learn-n-grow LLC is a newly developed science program for preschoolers and young children in the Michiana area. The mission is simple, “Get Children excited about science!”

The Aurora Project

12.8 million Children live under the poverty line in the United States. That is 12.8 million children whose basic needs of shelter and food may not be adequately met. For these children experiencing the right of an education which encourages creative thinking and scientific discovery is often as much as a fairy tale as Cinderella or the Three Little Pigs.

At Sprout Learn-n-Grow LLC we believe ALL children should have the right of access to programs of empowerment and knowledge. Therefore, it is a priority of Sprout Learn-n-Grow LLC to make our programs available to the disenfranchised. Our educators give back to the community in donated time. Each educator provides classes to those whom might not otherwise experience the wonders and excitement of science. These classes take place in homeless shelters, preschools, disenfranchised areas, churches and other locations.

To make this possible Sprout Learn-n-Grow is asking for help from the South Bend and Notre Dame community. We are seeking volunteers to teach 1 half hour science class each week. The classes are very interactive, with singing, stories and experiments.
