Position Available: Director of Graduate Support

De Marillac Academy seeks a highly motivated, experienced, mission-centered, and energetic Director of Graduate Support to join our team. De Marillac is a Catholic, co-educational school in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. Established in 2001, the school is co-sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers and the Daughters of Charity, and is a member of the national network of Nativity Miguel Schools dedicated to serving low-income populations. De Marillac is tuition-free and seeks students who would be considered “at-risk” because of social, academic, economic, and/or family circumstances. The school serves a diverse student body of 100 fourth-eighth graders.

The Graduate Support Program provides appropriate academic, financial, spiritual and personal support for De Marillac alumni throughout high school and beyond. Alumni participate in a variety of ongoing educational, social, and volunteer activities that build community and promote a lifelong commitment to De Marillac.

The Director of Graduate Support position demands a unique blend of counseling, social work, program development, and administrative skills to advocate with and for De Marillac’s 80 alumni and their families. De Marillac’s oldest alumni graduate from high school in May 2008.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Passion for students, community building, and character development
  • Experience developing and cultivating relationships across varying constituencies
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Experience working in and with underserved communities
  • Commitment to the mission, goals, and values of De Marillac Academy
Desired Qualifications:
  • Fluency in Spanish (oral and written)
  • Educational and/or professional background in counseling, social work, teaching, or other related field
