John Paul II Catholic High School is seeking a dynamic and motivated new principal to help open this new regional high school, located 15 miles north of San Antonio off I-35. The goal is to open doors in August, 2008. The high school will serve three area grade schools as well as ten area parishes and students in the surrounding cities of New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, Spring Branch, Seguin and the Northeast San Antonio suburbs, one of the fastest growing areas in the country. The project has tremendous momentum as well as the approval of the Archbishop of San Antonio, Jose Gomez, Superintendent of the Diocese, Sr. Carla Lusch and the Archdiocesan School Council.
The duties of the new principal will be to design curriculum, hire, supervise and evaluate faculty, prepare the budget and manage operations, and serve as a spokesperson for the school.
The successful candidate will be a practicing Roman Catholic with a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and minimum of five years experience in education, preferably in Catholic secondary school administration.
