(3) Mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry)
(4) Religion and Campus Ministry
(5) Science (Chemistry and Physics)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor’s degree in the relevant academic discipline is required;
-Master’s degree in the relevant academic discipline is preferred but not required;
-Prior successful high school teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Cristo Rey High School, a coeducational, independent Catholic high school in East Harlem, seeks talented, dedicated and experienced educators to join our staff. Our mission is to serve promising students who come with a mixed record of prior achievement, who demonstrate a passionate desire to make more of themselves, who are, in the main, immigrants or the children of immigrants, and who are unable to afford any of the Catholic or other private high school options available in New York City.
Qualified applicants will have teaching experience at the secondary level, and will be effective designing and implementing curricula to serve a heterogeneous, culturally diverse student population. It is desirable, though not required, that applicants are bilingual (English and Spanish), have experience working in a bilingual/bicultural school program or have served in a Cristo Rey or Nativity or San Miguel model school.
