Position Opening: Director, Student Leadership and Senior Transitions
12 months, 40 hours/week
The University of Notre Dame Center for Social Concerns seeks a creative, committed educator to direct student leadership and senior transition programs. The Director has two primary areas of responsibility: Leadership development for student social responsibility and Senior transitions programming. The Director will engage student leaders to encourage the development of leadership skills and cultivate a sense of social responsibility, efficacy and vocation throughout their time on campus. Work with senior-level students will facilitate the integration of social responsibility into postgraduate service and/or career choices.
Qualifications:- Masters degree in theology, social work, counseling, non-profit administration or equivalent.
- Post-graduate service participation in program such as Jesuit Volunteers, ACE, or Peace Corps.
- Demonstrated interest in student leadership development and /or experience in working with college age students.
- Two or more years of experience with program management.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan and coordinate major events within specific deadline constraints.
- Willingness / flexibility to work some weekends / evenings to accommodate student schedules.
Salary is determined by the candidate’s educational level and years of experience.
