Elizabet Duarte

Elizabet Duarte was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She serves as an administrative assistant for various programs within the Alliance for Catholic Education and Institute of Educational Initiatives. Her previous experience in the government sector and the criminal justice system has been essential to her current role on campus. Duarte is a first generation student to complete post-secondary education and graduate from College of DuPage in 2015. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree from Aurora University. She is passionate about learning about and empathizing with the obstacles that EL students face, as she went through similar experiences in elementary school. Duarte also enjoys running, playing the violin, and learning about current immigration policy affecting undocumented individuals in the United States.
