Notre Dame Magnificat Schools

A Model of Partnership and Support

One of the major findings of the Notre Dame Task Force on Education is that many Catholic schools have been limited in their access to the human, financial and strategic resources needed to survive and thrive in the long-term. Catholic higher education, however, has an abundance of these resources and is in a unique position to share them.

The Notre Dame Magnificat Schools partnerships were developed to create special relationships between individual urban Catholic elementary schools and the University of Notre Dame. Notre Dame aims to support the principals, pastors and governing boards of those schools to spur growth and increase effectiveness.

At present there are three Notre Dame Magnificat Schools operating under this partnership: St. Adalbert in South Bend, St. Ann in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, and Holy Redeemer in Washington, D.C.
