Apply to an ACE Program

A Letter From the Directors

Dear Prospective Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Service through Teaching program. Since 1993, nearly 1,200 ACE teachers have given two years or more of service to one of the American Catholic Church’s most precious treasures – Catholic schools. These bright, faith-filled and enthusiastic teachers, some of the most promising leaders in today’s American Church, energize the school and parish communities where they serve.

Many of them, however, began their journey perhaps like you – curious, but unsure about this opportunity. We invite you to take some time and look through the resources on this website to learn more about the foundation of the program, or what we call the three Pillars: Teaching, Community, and Spirituality.

As you look through this site, we realize that it might spark many more questions about the program and the ACE experience. We value highly our personal contact with each prospective ACEr and encourage you to either stop by our office in Carole Sandner Hall on campus at Notre Dame, email us at ace@nd.edu, or call any of our staff members at (574) 631-7052. To receive additional information about ACE and important upcoming dates, please fill out a request for information.

We look forward to supporting you throughout your discernment process. Thank you for your interest in ACE and, more importantly, in changing the lives of children through Catholic education.

Sincerely,

Amy Wyskochil
Director of Operations, ACE Service through Teaching

Tom Doyle
Academic Director, ACE M.Ed.
