Provide a brief description of New Orleans

It’s a place that was completely devestated by Hurricane Katrina and is still in the process of healing; however, as a group we can say that it’s a place filled with culture, great music, and great food. New Orleans is a wonderful place to live and teach. As the birthplace of jazz, the city has an incredible spirit that is manifested in numerous festivals, parades, and celebrations throughout the year. From Mardi Gras to Jazz Fest, the people of New Orleans live each day to the fullest.

What do you like most about living in New Orleans?

We love living in New Orleans because the people here demonstrate a resilient spirit and rich faith in one another and the goodness and grace of God. When in New Orleans, you are sure to find yourself surrounded by warm hospitality. With terrific cuisine from both land and sea, the culinary delights cannot be beat! Last but not least, Witt’s Inn, the local Thursday night hot spot. After a long week of school, our community frequently visits this establishment for a much needed break from our hectic lifestyle. It is hands down the best pizza in the city!
