She received her B.A. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts Education in 2016 from The College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Townsend is thrilled to continue working with the ENL family as clinical faculty. In the classroom, Mariah is passionate about advocating for all students, celebrating the gifts of culturally and linguistically diverse students and families, and the importance of bilingual education. Townsend believes in the power of caring adult role-models in a child’s life, and finds joy in seeing the growth of her students while helping them find and pursue their passions.
