The Position:
The Math teacher will be assigned a maximum of five sections of Math courses and work alongside other Math and Science teachers within our school’s STEM Department. The job begins in late August with possible opportunities for summer employment for an additional stipend.
The first day of the school year for faculty is August 26, 2024. New teachers are expected to attend a summer training in Chicago at dates to be determined. Expenses for this training are covered by the school.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Secondary Math Education is required
Master’s Degree in Secondary Math Education is preferred but not required
Prior successful full-time teaching experience in grades 7-12 is strongly preferred
Able to use technology to further student learning (i.e. Google Classroom, Zoom, PowerSchool)
Prior experience in Cristo Rey schools, Teach for America, Alliance for Catholic Education, or NativityMiguel schools is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range is $55,000-$65,000; the exact amount is commensurate with experience and benchmarked with our peer local and Cristo Rey Network schools. Comprehensive benefits are included in the overall compensation package.
