Registration

Registration for the 2025 Adelante Summer Conference will open on November 1, 2024.

The Adelante Conference 2025 will focus on this growing population of students. Join us June 16-18, 2025 as we explore engaging and practical ways to empower English learners in the classroom through transformative pedagogy. Engage is this powerful two-and-a-half-day conference on the beautiful campus of University of Notre Dame as we explore creative ways to serve multilingual learners in all content areas, across grade levels, in the classroom and at the school level, and ways to meaningfully engage multilingual families.

We encourage the participation of educators, diocesan leadership, superintendents, administrators, marketing and enrollment coordinators, pastors, parents, instructional coaches, dual language educators and advocates, resource teachers, etc.). The Adelante Conference will begin on Monday, June 16th at 5:00p.m. with dinner and will conclude on Wednesday, 18th at noon. Please see the FAQs page and Conference Cost and Registration tab for additional details.

In 2025, the Adelante Conference also builds upon 20 years of innovation and progress forged by the English as a New Language program. When registering for the conference, you may choose to stay for the add-on 20-year celebration which will take place beginning at noon on Wednesday, June 18th. The 20-year reunion is open to all friends of the English as New Language team, with reserved spots available to past ENL Hernandez Fellows graduates, cohorts 1-19.

Cost

The cost to attend the Adelante Conference is $450 per person and includes all meals, lodging on campus in a University residence hall, and materials. All participants are responsible for their own travel.

While the convenience of the on-campus residence halls is hard to beat, we understand that dorm life may not be for everyone. In the past, we have had a good number of participants exercise the option to stay in a hotel nearby at their own expense. Should you choose to forego the dorms, we recommend staying at the Inn at Saint Mary's and the Hilton Garden Inn (link to both) across the street from campus. The hotels provides a complimentary breakfast and we will provide shuttle service from the hotels to campus free of charge. We recommend booking as soon as possible given the busy ND summers.

If you are a local participant and will not be needing lodging, the registration fee is $300.

Additionally, we invite you to consider extending your stay and joining us through the evening of June 18, 2024 for the English as a New Language 20-year reunion and celebration. The 20 -year reunion is open to all friends of the English as New Language team, with reserved spots available to past ENL Hernandez Fellows graduates, cohorts 1-19 (link to HF page). The celebration will begin at noon with a celebratory lunch just as the tradition Adelante Conference program is ending. The event will run though the afternoon and evening of June 18, 2025 including a retreat experience, visits to amazing campus landmarks, and concluding with a celebratory meal. The cost to attend the 20-year celebration is $200 and includes all meals, extra night in the residence hall the evening of the 18th, and materials. You may select this add on experience when registering.

Please note, we strongly encourage schools to access Title II and Title III funds to defray the cost of attending the Adelante conference. On the registration form, you may request to pay via Title funds and we will provide an invoice, a Notre Dame W9 form, and an agenda that will satisfy the local education agencies (LEAs).

The deadline to register is May 1, 2025, or until all spots are filled. For any questions, please contact Katy Lichon (kwalter5@nd.edu) and visit the Frequently Asked Questions page.

We look forward to seeing you here this summer!
