Middle School Science Camp

The Summer Science Camp is aimed specifically at incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Hands-on learning through demonstrations and labs will be offered daily. Three sessions are available, covering a variety of topics. The Science Camp this year will be held at Saint Joseph High School, utilizing lab facilities there.

The Science camp is supported in part by a generous gift from the Siemens Foundation.
    1. Session 1, offered from June 17 – June 28, will focus on life science and feature multiple dissections. The session will culminate with students using forensic science to solve a “crime.”
    2. Session 2, offered from July 1 - July 12, will feature a second forensic science “crime” and cover topics from physical science.
    3. Session 3, offered from July 15 - July 24, will focus on engineering concepts. Students will build an electric circuit, create a pendulum clock, and design a bridge.
