How are teachers really using AI—and how can we responsibly teach students about AI? In this session, we draw on interviews with ACE Teaching Fellows, classroom visits, and emerging ideas to showcase real-world examples of AI-integrated learning. You’ll see how students are collaborating with AI, using it to generate ideas, revise drafts, and push thinking further—when done well.
We’ll also introduce the AILit Framework (a draft from the OECD/European Commission initiative) as a robust starting point for AI literacy in K–12. The framework defines core competences and includes illustrative scenarios to help teachers and leaders integrate AI understanding, ethics, and creation across subject areas. You’ll leave not just with examples, but with a structure you can adapt—tools, sample prompts, and scaffolds—to teach AI with intention and integrity.
