HPL AI Policy Collaborative: Implementation, Communication, and Professional Development

Location: Livestream

Higher-Powered Learning

Higher-Powered Learning is leading a summer AI Policy Collaborative, designed for Catholic school and (arch)diocesan leaders who are actively working on AI guidance, handbook language, implementation plans, and faculty expectations for the upcoming school year. Rather than serving as traditional “information sessions,” these calls are intended to be collaborative working sessions where leaders can share questions, discuss emerging practices, reflect on ethical and developmentally appropriate AI use, and leave with stronger policies, clearer guidance, and practical next steps for implementation.

Even schools with strong AI policies often struggle with implementation, communication, and sustained faculty support. Moving from written guidance to meaningful practice requires thoughtful leadership, clear communication with families and faculty, and ongoing formation for administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders.

This collaborative conversation will focus on the practical realities of implementing AI guidance and expectations in Catholic school communities. Topics may include parent communication, faculty professional development, handbook integration, leadership considerations involving boards, pastors, and IT departments, and strategies for moving from policy to practice. Participants are encouraged to bring implementation questions, communication drafts, examples, and unresolved tensions they are currently navigating within their schools or dioceses. RSVP on Zoom.
