The Academic Achievement Teacher provides specialized instructional support to students with diverse learning needs,
ensuring their academic success and socio-emotional well-being. This position involves collaborating with teachers,
administrators, and parents to develop and implement personalized intervention strategies and accommodations.
It is also preferred that the qualified applicant be a practicing Catholic and have degree in Special Education. The Academic
Achievement teacher would provide direct instruction to students with academic plans, develop, implement, and regularly
monitor student academic plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, use a variety of evidence-based instructional
strategies and accommodations to support diverse learners, assess students' strengths and areas of need using formal and
informal assessments, collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and adapt instruction to meet the
needs of students with disabilities, participate in student plan meetings, parent conferences, and staff meetings, maintain
accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided, foster a positive, inclusive learning environment
that supports students’ social emotional growth, provide consultation and support to general education staff regarding
instructional strategies and classroom management techniques for students with disabilities.
