Marin Catholic currently has an opening for a full-time Assistant Dean of Students to begin August 1, 2026.

The Assistant Dean of Students walks alongside our students in the daily work of forming a safe, joyful, and Christ-centered school community. Working with the Dean of Students and under the direction of the Assistant Principal of Student Affairs and Operations, the Assistant Dean shares responsibility across the full range of Dean functions: student formation and conduct, attendance, dress code, daily presence on campus, student support, and school-sponsored events. The Assistant Dean is a trusted point of contact for students, parents, and faculty, helping ensure that the policies and spirit of the Marin Catholic Parent/Student Handbook are applied with both consistency and care.

As a co-educational Catholic school, Marin Catholic is committed to forming young men and young women of virtue. The Assistant Dean of Students will have particular focus on accompanying our female students through the unique joys and challenges of adolescence.

The Assistant Dean of Students will have duties in the following areas;
-Student Formation, Conduct, and Discipline
-Attendance & Truancy
-Presence at School Events
-Administrative and Communication Duties

Qualifications & Skills
-Willingness to witness to and support the Catholic identity, mission, and philosophy of Marin Catholic, including the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
-Practicing Catholic in good standing, preferred
-Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience working with adolescents in a school, youth ministry, coaching, counseling, or comparable setting.
-Demonstrated experience supporting and mentoring adolescent young women in school, coaching, counseling, or ministry settings, preferred
-Prior experience in a high school student life office, extracurricular leadership role, or secondary school administration, preferred
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with students, parents, and colleagues.
-Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
-Proficiency with Google Workspace and willingness to learn school information systems (attendance software, and similar).

Working at Marin Catholic
-This is a full-time exempt position scheduled for the school year calendar. (Summer, Christmas and Easter breaks.)
-Salary is $80,000-$90,000 commensurate with education and experience
