The Development Director is hired by the Marist School President and the Executive Director. The Development Director reports to the Executive Director. This position is responsible for directing and implementing strategies to raise annual support through annual campaigns, appeals, and special events from individuals, foundations, corporations, government sources and civic groups. The Development Director assists the Executive Director in executing the vision of Reach for Excellence.
SCOPE OR RESPONSIBILITY
This position is responsible for the research and identification of prospective donors; determining overall fundraising strategy; cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors; special event planning and implementation; gift reporting and acknowledgment, among other related fundraising and programmatic needs. The Development Director assists the Executive Director for all communications and public relations. Each year, the Development Director is responsible for securing approximately $700,000 in private, philanthropic support from individuals, businesses, foundations, community organizations, and special events, and expanding Reach for Excellence’s local and state visibility through effective marketing and outreach.
