SMCC seeks a dynamic and experienced Director of Academic Support to lead and our Academic Support Program. The ideal candidate will be a leader with a passion for student success and a strong commitment to developing innovative support strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Academic Support Program and Structured Study Hall with the intervention
team members.
- Assists students with various disabilities impacting their academic performance.
- Collaborate with faculty to support students' needs within their classrooms.
- Analyze student performance data to assess the effectiveness of support programs and make data-
driven improvements.
- Provide individual and group academic advising to students.
- Collaborate with Teacher Consultants on non-public service plans.
- Case management with a team of parents, teachers, and students.
- Prioritize the Catholic faith.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Experience in special education, academic advising, student support services, or a related field.
- Leadership experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of academic support.
