Director of Campus Ministry
Catholic Memorial is a college preparatory school for boys founded in the spirit of Blessed Edmund Rice and guided by the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Education. Position Description
The Director of Campus Ministry furthers the mission and values of Catholic Memorial School by invigorating the faith formation of boys through a holistic campus ministry program for students in grades 7-12. The Director of Campus Ministry supervises two campus ministers, and directs a comprehensive program of liturgies, retreats, faith formation programs, and both local and travel based service and immersion experiences.

This is a 12-month position, beginning July 1, 2025. The Director of Campus Ministry is responsible for teaching 2 sections of the capstone senior service theology course within the Theology Department.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Vice Principal for Mission, this position works collaboratively with the Campus Ministry team to carry out the mission and programming of the Campus Ministry department. Under the leadership of the Director, Campus Ministry provides pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and faith formation to the entire CM community, fostering a vibrant Catholic identity and culture of service.

Faith Formation & Spiritual Life
•Develops and leads dynamic faith formation programs that promote spirituality, community-building, and service across the student body, faculty, staff, and families.
•Coordinates and oversees all aspects of Catholic liturgical life, including school-wide Masses, sacraments, and prayer services.
•Manages the recruitment, training, and scheduling of student liturgical ministers; oversees the preparation of liturgical music and supports the ministries of choirs, cantors, and musicians.

Retreats
•Plans, budgets, recruits for, and executes all student retreats, including all grade level retreats, service retreats, and the capstone Kairos Retreat for juniors and seniors.
•Publicizes retreat programs to generate student interest and engagement.
•Recruits, trains, and mentors students, faculty, and staff to serve as small group leaders and facilitators on retreats.

Service and Immersion Programs
•Leads the planning, budgeting, recruitment, execution, and evaluation of the BERSI immersion program, the CM service program, and the Capstone Senior Service Project.
•Coordinates student and parent information events to promote service and immersion opportunities.
•Recruits and trains students, faculty, and staff for active participation in service programs, fostering servant leadership.
•Collaborates with the Theology Department to facilitate student service requirements, including oversight of the 60-hour senior capstone service project.
•Participates in local and travel-based service and immersion experiences.

Peer Ministry Program
•Oversees the planning, budgeting, recruitment, and execution of the Peer Ministry program.
•Designs and implements curriculum that integrates faith formation with leadership development.
•Trains student leaders to facilitate small groups and support campus ministry initiatives.

•Cultivates an environment where faith, service, and leadership are integrated into student life and celebrated as foundations to the CM student experience.
•Maintains consistent communication and creative outreach to promote all office programs.
•Builds strong relationships across the school community to encourage widespread participation in spiritual, service, and student leadership opportunities.

Qualifications
•Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree in Theology/Pastoral Ministry/Religious Education or equivalent is preferred.
•An understanding of Roman Catholic theology, spirituality, and practices and the ability to relate them to the personal and relational experiences of boys.
•A ministerial vision that includes an appreciation of the Essential Elements of an Edmund Rice Christian Brothers’ Education, and an ability to develop campus ministry programs that further that vision.
•Ability to foster an atmosphere of trust and openness amongst boys and a strong capacity for facilitating small group discussion.
•Genuine interest in the lives of boys and concern for their personal, social, and spiritual formation.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong active listening and interpersonal skills, developed organizational and leadership skills, and an ability to relate and work with diverse groups of people within the community.
•Experience in development and evaluation of programs.
•Work schedule flexibility, including evening and weekend hours.
