The Fr. Marot Catholic Youth Organization is seeking an exceptional leader to
oversee all administrative functions, provide strategic leadership, and manage program oversight.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, creative, and passionate, intentional disciple dedicated
to advancing the mission of the Church through evangelization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mission Implementation: Articulate, develop, and execute the mission of the Northern
RI Catholic Youth Ministry by setting goals, evaluating initiatives, and fostering
ownership of ministry among stakeholders and benefactors.
• Parish Engagement: Maintain regular contact and strong relationships with parishes.
• Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact for pastors, catechetical leaders,
donors, families, youth, young adults, and the public.
• Leadership Formation: Enable and attend to leadership formation for youth and adult
volunteers.
• Parish Collaboration: Collaborate with Pastors, and Ministers to identify the spiritual
needs of youth and families within the parish, and to design and implement programs and
activities to support those needs.
• Strategic Planning: Develop long and short-term goals with KPI (Key Performance
Indicators) for program measuring success.
• Training & Support: Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to parish
leaders (both youth and adults)
• Board of Directors Coordination: Work with and maintain an engaged Board of
Directors.
• Meeting & Event Management: Schedule and oversee all meetings, events, and projects
while managing the ministry’s calendar.
Financial Administration: Oversee the financial operations of the Fr. Marot Northern RI
Catholic Youth Ministry, including creating and implementing budgets, fundraising, and
supervising expenditures
• Staff Supervision: Manage schedules and supervise staff effectively.
• Diocesan Collaboration: Coordinate with the offices for Family, Youth and Young
Adult Evangelization, Faith Formation, Catholic Schools, and Campus Ministry.
Qualifications:
• A committed Catholic disciple with a personal relationship with Jesus, in good standing,
and able to articulate the mission and teachings of the Church in an approachable manner.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or 5+ years of related experience (e.g., Youth ministry).
• Experience working or volunteering for a Catholic entity (e.g., FOCUS or equivalent).
• Strong theological foundation (degree or certificate preferred).
• Expertise in strategic and/or pastoral planning.
• Proven experience in budgeting and financial oversight.
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with an outgoing and welcoming
demeanor.
• Ability to share and teach the Kerygma (the Gospel message) effectively to families,
youth, and young adults.
• High energy and creativity, with a capacity for innovative problem-solving and thinking
outside the box.
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written), with proficiency in email and
telephone communication.
• Must be proficient with Computers, Internet, Websites & Social Media.
• Superior organizational abilities, with an aptitude for prioritization and anticipating
needs.
• Collaborative and team-oriented personality.
• Self-starter with strong work ethics.
