Saints Peter and Paul School was established in 2001 as a parish school and presently enrolls 405 students from Pre-K 3 through Grade 8. The Middles States Association reaccredited the school in 2017 and named it the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2018. Furthermore, Saints Peter and Paul School has been named a School of Distinguished Instruction in 2021, 2022, and 2023. This Catholic community is dedicated to academic excellence and the development of future leaders to be disciples of Christ with hearts to love and hands to serve.
The school's governance model is a Board of Limited Jurisdiction that includes the Pastor, Monsignor Angelo Citino, the Board Chair, Mr. Dan McKinney, and 11-15 voting Board Members. The board works in collaboration with the Principal, the School Business Manager, and the Advancement Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary duties and responsibilities are setting the educational standards and goals of the school and ensuring that they are achieved through effective instructional and administrative practices. The duties encompass overseeing curriculum implementation to ensure it meets educational standards and enhances student learning, as well as managing the school's staff, including hiring, training, and professional development, and fostering an environment that encourages teamwork and growth. The principal also plays a key role in integrating technology into the classroom to improve teaching and learning outcomes. Additionally, the Principal should maintain regular communication with parents and the community, building strong relationships to support the school's objectives. The principal must also manage the school's administrative needs, including budgeting and compliance with Archdioceses policies, while serving as a motivational leader who inspires both staff and students.
Requirements:
A dynamic, Christ-centered leader is needed to serve as the Principal of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School. The new Principal must be a faithful practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to Catholic Education and the teachings of the Church. He or she must lead by personal witness to the Catholic faith and exhibit passion and compassion in articulating the mission of Saints Peter and Paul to students, parents, faculty, and the community.
The ideal candidate will:
-serve as the primary agent for creating an environment that fosters Catholic faith formation, academic excellence, vitality, and viability.
-be responsible for creating a climate that encourages each student's engagement in the learning process while fostering a love for learning.
-inspire a committed faculty and an engaged student body to form a highly effective learning community inclusive of all stakeholders in the ministry of Catholic education.
-leverage technology as a communication and educational tool.
-work with the Advancement Director to support school events, fundraising initiatives, and enrollment campaigns.
-have the ability to delegate work and monitor results.
-be forward thinking - have a vision for the future of education and a proven track record in achieving academic success.
-have a good understanding of school operations, including budgeting.
-collaborate with the Board of Limited Jurisdiction and other stakeholders.
A minimum of five years experience teaching in a Catholic School and a Master’s Degree in School Administration are requirements. The applicant should hold degrees and certifications required by the Office of Catholic Education.
