DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
Reports to: Pastor, Saint Joseph Catholic Church and School
Location: 215 Pleasant St., St. Joseph, MI 49085
Terms: Full-Time Employee
JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management serves as a key ambassador for Our Lady
of the Lake Catholic School, responsible for overseeing all aspects of student recruitment, enrollment, and
retention. This position works closely with school leadership, faculty, staff, and local parishes to ensure a
welcoming, efficient, and mission-aligned admission experience for prospective and current families.
FOCUS AREAS: The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management supports and strengthens the “seven
pillars” of the school, particularly Enrollment Management. The other “pillars” are School Governance, Catholic
Culture, Academic Excellence, Infrastructure, Development and Finances.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Admissions:
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Create and maintain an effective marketing program for the school including print and digital
materials and campaigns.
Plan and host outreach events for prospective families such as Open Houses and school/parish visits.
Maintain and update the pages of the website dealing with admissions/enrollment.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all prospective families and provide consistent and clear
communication throughout the process.
Coordinate tours, interviews, shadow days, etc. with building administrators and work with them to
ensure applicants fulfill enrollment requirements.
Attend training for and maintain all documents within the FACTS program.
Enrollment Management:
7. Partner with the finance team to determine, publish, and communicate tuition schedules.
8. Collaborate with the administrative team to determine class sizes and enrollment goals.

9. Maintain current enrollment reports to be shared with the Advisory Board monthly; attend LCAB
(School Board) and Enrollment Committee meetings.
10. Collect and process all financial assistance applications and consult with the Pastor regarding
distribution; communicate awards to the families and business office.
11. Maintain and update all enrollment documents in FACTS.
12. Meet with building administrators bi-weekly to discuss and assess enrollment and retention
strategies.
Retention:
13. Design, distribute, collect and analyze family satisfaction surveys.
14. Conduct exit interviews.
15. Personally contact families regarding re-enrollment and clearly communicate the process and
deadlines.
16. Collaborate with principals, teachers, and staff to promote re-enrollment efforts.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Pastor, School Business Manager, Principals, and collaborates with the Local Consultative
Advisory Board and appropriate subcommittees (i.e. Finances).
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; minimum of 3 years of experience in admissions, and/or enrollment
management, or a related field (education administration, marketing, customer service, or sales).
- Prior leadership or managerial experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in K–12 education or independent/Catholic school setting is advantageous.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to stoop, sit, stand, push, pull, and stretch consistent with an office environment; Must
be able to use standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, fax machine etc. in
conjunction with administrative duties; and must possess a valid driver’s license to attend meetings
and conferences as appropriate as well as for travel both locally and nationally.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Applicant must pass Diocesan requirements such as background checks, Virtus Training, etc.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
CONTRACTED DAYS:
- The position is contracted for 260 working days.
- This position earns 20 annual days of vacation time, summer months preferred.
- Health Insurance for the employee (optional vision, dental, and family plans can be purchased).
- Recognized holidays are included in the scheduled working days.
- The position is not required to report to work during Christmas and Spring Breaks, or when the
school is closed due to weather (i.e. “snow days.”)
- This position will receive paid time off (12 Sick Days, 20 Vacation Days & 2 Personal Leave Days) in
accordance with diocesan/school policy.
- Eligible for 50% off tuition.
