First Grade Teaching Position
Good Shepherd School in Pacifica seeks an enthusiastic teacher for teaching first grade. Must be committed to carrying out the mission and philosophy of the school in collaboration with a dynamic faculty group and in partnership with the parents as the primary educators of their children. High-level enthusiasm, professionalism, flexibility, and competence required. In exchange, the school will provide support and resources for an experienced or new teacher to develop his or her professional competencies in the context of a caring community.
JOB TITLE: First Grade Teacher - (Full-time, exempt), for the 2025-2026 school year. The position begins in August 2025.
LOCATION: Good Shepherd School, Pacifica California

Qualifications:
• Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited university
• Valid California credential, or equivalent. Or in process of attaining a CA Teaching Credential
• Preferably 2 or more years of teaching experience
• Preferably a practicing Catholic
• Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills, excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in the use of computer technology to enhance and support teaching and learning. Skills needed include the use of Google Suite, Zoom, and Seesaw: ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility in assessing needs and strategies and adapt appropriately in a ministerial environment
• The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check. Professional bearing and clean and neat personal appearance.
Compensation:
• Salary: $54,500 - $104,931 Base range (Advanced Education & Certifications not included)
