Oak Knoll seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Full Time Grade 5 & 6 Math Teacher who will also serve as the Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
Position Summary:
This full-time role includes teaching mathematics to students in grades 5 and 6, as well as serving as the primary homeroom teacher for Grade 5. We are looking for a dynamic educator who brings energy, creativity, and a passion for teaching, while also providing strong leadership and guidance in a homeroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach math to Grade 5 and Grade 6 students, using engaging, hands-on methods to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Serve as the Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher, fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom community.
Collaborate with Grade 5 and Grade 6 faculty to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities.
Contribute to the school community through participation in student activities, faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Support the mission of Oak Knoll and uphold the values of the Holy Child philosophy in daily interactions and instruction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Prior experience teaching upper elementary or middle school math.
Classroom experience with homeroom responsibilities preferred.
Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
A deep commitment to student-centered learning and whole-child education.
