POSITION: CAMPUS MINISTER: 10th & 11th Grade

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties will be carried out in partnership with departments such as the Theology Department, Instructional Leadership Team, the Deans’ Office, Athletics, Student Life, etc. to ensure Mission & MInistry programming remains an integral part of DePaul College Prep’s identity:
10 months
Oversees Kairos logistics including retreat center booking, Registration, Billing, Adult & Student Leader scheduling plus Fourth Day and Small Faith Group development
Annually facilitates three Kairos retreats (3 days, 2 nights per retreat)
Oversees Sophomore Retreats
Collaborates with Mission & Ministry team on Freshman retreats
Oversees and facilitates annual Vincentian Fest celebration of Vincentian Identity
Collaborates with team on cultivating Catholic Vincentian identity and Core Values of Faith, Respect, Excellence, Service & Health throughout the school through prayer, liturgies, activities, social media, classroom integration
Collaborates with teachers as needed, especially Theology Teaching Team
Collaborates with Director on Peer Leadership program (11th/12th graders)
Collaborates with Director on Reconciliation Services during Lent plus Stations of the Cross
Responsible for general supervision responsibilities as determined by school needs such as morning door or lunchroom duty, occasional field trips, assemblies, etc.

The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with passion and enthusiasm for engaging teens with spiritual formation. An organized networker with a communal mindset, the candidate is a relationship builder who meets their students wherever they are on the spectrum of religious practice and spiritual belief.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Bachelor Degree or Masters in theology or related studies OR significant ministry experience

Experience
Experience with student retreat planning and implementation, especially Kairos
Experience working with high school students
Experience with social media outlets and tools, mainly Instagram
Experience working as a member of collaborative team

Working Knowledge of:
Retreat planning, facilitation and Catholic spirituality
Catholic Social Teaching
Justice and inequity issues in the city of Chicago
High School organization and function
