Saint Mary's Catholic High School, Arizona's oldest Catholic high school, seeks a passionate and knowledgeable Humanities (English and Social Studies) teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both literature and history as part of our Seat of Wisdom program and hold a relevant undergraduate or graduate degree.
Under the principal's supervision, the teacher fosters a dynamic learning environment rooted in Catholic education. Responsibilities include developing and implementing engaging instruction aligned with Diocesan Curriculum Standards, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues, students, and families to promote academic and personal growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Preference given to a Catholic teacher.
-Must have Arizona State Department of Education teacher certification or earn certification within two years as required by diocesan policy.
-Must have current Catechist Certification and/or work towards certification as required by diocesan policy.
-Must be willing to make a public Profession of Faith, if Catholic; and if non-Catholic, must be willing to support Catholic teachings and philosophy.
-Must hold a Bachelor's Degree.
-Must hold current FBI Fingerprint clearance card.
-Must by current in the required Diocesan Safe Environment Training.
-Must sign the diocesan Code of Conduct.
