About Cristo Rey
Cristo Rey Fort Worth (CRFW) High School delivers a career focused, college preparatory education in the Catholic tradition for students with limited economic resources. Through the unique integration of a college preparatory academic curricula, four years of professional work experience, and support to and through college, Cristo Rey students are achieving their aspirations for postsecondary success at rates exceeding their peers.
Founded in 2018, CRFW is the 35th school in the Cristo Rey Network, an association of 40+ schools dedicated to preparing students for attending and graduating from four-year colleges and universities. Our vision is to set students up to lead futures grounded in faith, purpose, and service. At CRFW, students and families see Cristo Rey as an investment in their future.

What You’ll Do
General Teaching Responsibilities
-Teach a challenging college preparatory curriculum that addresses the current academic levels of students while also ensuring their readiness for Advanced Placement courses and College Board exams
-Implement college preparatory, engaging, and high-impact lessons that utilize high quality questions and questioning strategies, create opportunities for critical thinking, accelerate student growth, differentiate for students, and align vertically to ensure students are able to complete college work by the end of their four years at CRFW
-Develop annual, unit, and weekly lesson plans that drive student-achievement gains on core assessments, including Cristo Rey Network end-of-course assessments, SAT assessments, and Advanced Placement exams
-Maintain a classroom culture that demonstrates high expectations, consistency, and care for every student to support student learning, growth, and belonging
-Design aligned formative and summative standards-based assessments, complete in-depth analysis of student performance on them, and implement appropriate instructional responses to assessment results
-Reflect on teaching through regular coaching meetings guided by the TRU Framework and researched best practices in order to identify opportunities to grow one’s professional practice and support student learning
-Communicate regularly to families about the progress of students, including weekly phone calls, emails, and updated grades
-Support the faith formation of students through, but not limited to, attending Mass, attending retreats, and leading prayer
-Enforce and uphold school’s values, policies, instructional norms, and culture
-Maintain a willingness to work a longer academic day and year
-Offer tutoring office hours
-Assist with supervision and student programming support

-Model values consistent with Catholic education and service to others
-Participate in continuing professional development, including school-wide and department-specific offerings and initiatives for instruction and student support
-Participate actively with a growth mindset in our learning organization through collaboration with colleagues in a range of contexts and regular weekly meetings involving vertical planning, peer observation, peer feedback, and student-oriented, solution-focused problem solving
-Partner with the full Cristo Rey community to further the mission as a college preparatory school, including supporting student life activities, admissions, college programs, and supervisory needs
-Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Principal
Who You Are
Bachelor’s Degree Required
--Preferred in content area and/or
--Combined with relevant work experience
--Teacher certification preferred
-Commitment to the mission and vision of Cristo Rey Fort Worth High School
-Commitment to Catholic, faith-based education
-Commitment to a to and through four year college plan for every student
-Able to design and implement curricula to serve a student population diverse in culture, religion, and ability
-Able to Connect with culturally and linguistically diverse students and their families
-Proficient using technology to advance teaching and learning (Google Suite at minimum) and ability to learn systems (Rediker, securly)
-Adaptable and able to be flexible in an entrepreneurial, educational nonprofit
-Available to begin working in the 2025-2026 school year, which starts in July
-Complete VIRTUS training, sign a Code of Conduct, and pass a background check
-A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience in an urban or Catholic school secondary education setting preferred
-Experience with English Language Learners preferred
-Bilingual in Spanish preferred
