ABOUT KENNEDY CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL

JOB SUMMARY
To teach a combination of Spanish language classes offered in Grades 9-12 for the 2024-25 school year, including dual credit classes (Matteo Ricci Program through Seattle University).

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, or Native Speaker
• Master’s degree required (Spanish, Romance Languages, or related field)
• Washington State teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one
• Familiarity with educational technology
• Recent classroom experience, preferably in a high school or college setting

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to:
• Work with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning abilities
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Effectively utilize educational technology to enhance the learning of students
• Use data to inform instructional practices
• Work collaboratively within the department on curriculum and assessments
• Be flexible and resourceful
• Be organized and an effective communicator with all members of the school community

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• Salary is dependent upon experience, certification, and education according to Kennedy Catholic’s faculty compensation schedule. For the 2024-2025 school year, a teacher’s salary ranges between $54,333 and $103,123
