St. John the Baptist Catholic School is seeking an energetic long-term substitute teacher beginning January 2025 through March 2025. The PreK-4 Specialist Teacher shall, under the direction of the Principal, provide all PreK-4 students with engaging STEM learning experiences, physical education, and art.
St. John the Baptist Catholic School is located in Vermillion, MN. We are 15 minutes south of St. Paul and part of the Hastings School District. Our school serves students in Preschool - 4th grade. We have 112 students and pride ourselves on knowing and caring for our students individually. Our mission is to welcome students to be known and loved, for them to excel academically, thrive spiritually, and lead with generosity and joy. We have a very supportive parish and school community, are service-minded, and work hard to give back to our community.
The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching elementary students, is a practicing Catholic, and has a teaching license (or is in the process of acquiring one). Candidates should be willing to work as part of a team, passionate about student academic and spiritual growth, able to use technology as an instructional tool, and committed to growing as a professional.
