Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and certified teacher to work in our 4th grade classroom for a maternity leave from mid - February through May, 2025. This position is only for 25 hours a week each morning, Monday through Fridays. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students of this age. As the Substitute Teacher, you will step into classrooms to provide instruction and support in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students continue to engage with the curriculum and maintain classroom order. The substitute is expected to deploy and follow through with the lessons that the regular teacher has planned.
Responsibilities
Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and adapt them as necessary to meet the needs of students.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and productive learning environment.
Engage students in educational activities that promote their academic growth and development.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback on their performance.
Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, adhering to school policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Skills
Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
Proficient in behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs.
Familiarity with elementary education.
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is a must.
Excellent classroom management skills to maintain order during lessons.

Pay: $165.00 - $175.00 per day
