Job Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree
-Experience working with students or youth (required)
-Professional Educator License (preferred)
Position Overview + Essential Job Functions
-Demonstrate passion and skill for working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
-Manage student behavior by establishing a strong classroom culture that integrates safe and equitable structures and routines to create a positive and nurturing environment.
-Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active, differentiated.
-Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional environment and work towards common school goals.
-Observe and evaluate student performance and development through formative and summative assessments.
-Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
-Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues and principal
-Attend required faculty and staff meetings
-Participate in professional development programs required by the Archdiocese of Chicago and/or the local school/parish
-Teachers are hired and employed by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Teachers receive a variety of dynamic support from Big Shoulders Fund.
