Corpus Christi Catholic School is seeking a faithful, enthusiastic and dedicated Art teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants must be in support of the mission and vision of Corpus Christi Catholic School, comfortable working with students from ages PreK-4 to 8th grade, and responsible for implementing a dynamic and faith-filled art curriculum that not only inspires creativity but integrates our Catholic values into the teaching approach. The ideal candidate has experience working with a variety of grade levels, is strong in their behavior management system, and desires to work in a faith-filled environment. Responsibilities:

Recognizes and supports the mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church
Helps build the school's faith community by demonstrated willingness to participate and plan school, religious, and service activities
Demonstrates effective planning skills by preparing age-appropriate lsesons designed to implement stated goals and objectives
Establishes a consistent disciplinary approach which promotes self-direction and positive self-image; sets high standards for student behavior and successfully manages inappropriate behavior effectively
Creates a classroom environment that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of each student
Teaches knowledge and skills in art, including crafts, drawing, painting, lettering, design, commercial art, art history, and three-dimensional art through age appropriate activities
Conducts ongoing assessment of student skills and learning in artistic techniques and expression, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs
Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.
Plans and presents art displays and exhibitions designed to exhibit students' work for the school and the community
Continues to participate in professional development by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings
Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents
Coordinates with other school professional staff members, especially within grade level, and participates in faculty meetings and committees
Selects and requisitions appropriate books, art materials, instructional aids and other supplies and equipment and maintains inventory records\

Required Qualifications:

Current Professional Educators License or endorsement
