Cabrini High School, an all-girls Cabrinian Catholic high school, grades 8-12, located in New Orleans, LA, has announced a candidate search to fill the position of President, commencing July 2025. Working collaboratively within the school community, the President will provide entrepreneurial, mission-centered leadership to ensure strong academic and co-curricular programs permeated by the Catholic faith in the Cabrinian tradition. The school seeks an experienced individual, whose transformative leadership and entrepreneurial approach is student-centered and will embody the mission and values of the school which are grounded in the spirituality of the Sisters.
Cabrini High School was founded in 1959 by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSC). The school is named after St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, foundress of the religious congregation and the first American citizen saint. It is located on historic Bayou St. John, near Park City, and is on the site of an orphanage built by Mother Cabrini in 1905. Education was the centerpiece of Mother Cabrini’s work, which “seeks to enflame hearts with an enthusiasm for life and love for all people.” Cabrini educational institutions are more than places of academic learning, serving students of diversified populations and teaching them values, faith and service, which are characteristics of the Cabrinian education of the heart. Education for justice and the common good is integrated into the school’s curricula experientially as well as in theory.
