Seeking an exceptional leader for a Catholic K3-8 parish grade school. With increasing enrollment, Christ King Parish School continues to meet demands for expansion in a growing parish, boasts an exceptional staff, and a close relationship to the parish's mission: forming disciples through the sacramental life of the Church.
The Principal will work under the supervision of the Pastor to lead children, parents, and staff to an intentional relationship with Jesus Christ. As a ministry of the parish, the school is key in forming the youngest disciples of Jesus Christ. Fundamental goals for this leader include intentionally strengthening Catholic identity and embracing the Catholic intellectual tradition and concrete curriculum enhancements.
The Principal is the school's spiritual, instructional, and managerial leader and works collaboratively with multiple parish stakeholders. The Principal is the educational leader who guides student learning, collects and analyzes student data, and increases academic quality. The Principal is also the director of school programs, manager of day-to-day operations, school finances and budget, implements policies and procedures, and is responsible for positive parent and teacher relations. He/she will promote the school and guide it in future growth. The school is expanding access to supportive/inclusive education with a dedicated staff member to help achieve this goal.
The Principal will enjoy an exceptional teaching staff, an assistant principal for supportive education, a full-time administrative assistant in addition to the school administrative assistant, teaching support staff, and parent volunteers to assist in areas requested. Qualifications
- Must be an actively practicing member of the Roman Catholic Church, able to partake in the sacraments. Must be knowledgeable and supportive of Catholic School Mission and Philosophy
- Committed to evangelization through excellence in Catholic education
- Must be able to develop an internal leadership team and collaborate with school and parish collaborative bodies.
- Must collaborate with neighboring Catholic schools and other schools as appropriate.
- Master's degree required; Administrator's License obtained or in process preferred.
- Demonstrated success in teaching, administration, and supervision
- Ability to work collegially with faculty, parents, and parish community.
- Organizational, communication, and management skills
- Must be able to listen to teachers and staff and attempt to understand their perspective
- Must be able to resolve conflicts in the spirit of Catholic anthropology and foster academic professionalism among the staff
- Effective oral and written communicator
- Continues his/her professional development
- Willingness to share professional and informal references as appropriate.
