Saint Mary Catholic School in Paw Paw, Michigan is seeking a principal to continue its tradition of high quality academic education. For the past 90 years, Saint Mary School has been committed to providing a quality, Catholic, faith-centered education for students in Preschool through grade 5. Applicants must be committed to maintaining a safe, effective, and nurturing learning environment.
This role is responsible for the complete operation of the school, including administration, curriculum development, faith development, and personnel. The principal is required to ensure implementation of diocesan policies alongside the Local Consultative Advisory Board (LCAB), and is accountable to the pastor of St. Mary Church and the Superintendent of Schools.
The desired candidate must be a practicing Catholic, and will also have:
Education:
Bachelors of Arts in Education or a related field, required Master of Arts in a related field or the ability to obtain one within three years, preferred
Experience :
Minimum of three years of teaching experience
Experience in administration is preferred
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
Commitment to the educational needs of students
Knowledge of elementary curriculum
Experience with budgets, grants, and grant reporting
Skills:
Effectively communicate with school personnel, students, parents, and parish staff
Strong leadership ability
Ability to learn and operate educational technology software and hardware
Passionate about our students well being
Balance a yearly budget and plan for the future
Lead with faith
