St. Mary's Cathedral Catholic School in Miami, Florida has an opening for a qualified full-time Spanish Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This candidate will help students learn about Spanish and apply higher order thinking skills. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program and to evaluate student development. The teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree in Spanish Education.
Florida Department of Education K-12 teaching certificate for Spanish.
Experience in teaching Elementary and Middle School Spanish preferred.
Excellent classroom management skills.
Strong presentation skills with the use of innovative instructional technologies.
Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Excellent oral and written Spanish-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Must have a professional demeanor and collaborative skills with administration, colleagues and parents.
