Abby is the Associate Director for the Program for Inclusive Education (PIE). She is also a Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program graduate and a PIE 2 completer. In addition to supporting PIE, Abby teaches a section of the Inclusive Teaching Practices course for ACE Teaching Fellows in the summer.
Abby brings valuable K-12 educational experience to this position. As an inclusive educator, Abby thoughtfully and proactively planned and problem-solved with colleagues and students to support growth for all learners. She is also well-versed with evidence-based practices to meet the needs of all students. As a building-level Catholic school leader, Abby has experience establishing and strengthening multi-tiered systems of support for a broad school community.
Before joining ACE in August of 2021, Abby served as the Principal at the All Saints Academy Upper Campus in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She started her professional career in education as a middle school math and science teacher at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Holland, Michigan. Abby also has experience teaching a few math classes at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
