Carissa Maddox

Carissa J. Maddox, Ed.D., is the Coordinator of Adult Formation and Leadership Development for the University of Notre Dame’s ACE Academies (NDAA). In this role, she designs and implements the professional development framework for Regional Directors and school leaders across the NDAA network, with a focus on school culture, operational vitality, and instructional excellence. Carissa earned her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Dayton, where her research examined teacher voice and collective commitment within cycles of iterative improvement. A career educator with over 25 years of experience, she previously served as a principal and assistant principal in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. She remains focused on building the capacity of local leaders to transform their communities by aligning professional formation with the unique needs of their schools.
