Jamie Rhinesmith is the Associate Program Director of Math Education and Research in the Alliance for Catholic Education. She assists with the elementary math methods and assessment courses for ACE Teaching Fellows, serves as a math tutoring coach with TutorND, and supports math research as part of the Number Sense Lab on campus.
A South Bend native, Jamie earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 2011 and her Master's in Education through the University's Alliance for Catholic Education program, teaching in San Antonio as part of their 18th cohort. Jamie has spent the last thirteen years teaching grades 2-5 in Texas, Arkansas, Michigan, and Missouri. Recently, Jamie completed a graduate certificate program in Elementary Math Leadership through Ball State University and has undertaken various leadership roles and presentation opportunities in the field of mathematics education. She is passionate about helping improve pedagogy so that elementary-aged students can develop a deep conceptual understanding of math content, enabling them to think and reason like true mathematicians.
